it probably is your starter solenoid. this is often an overlooked item. if this wont work then it wont start. also like the others said if you put the ignition into the accessory position or starting position and the battery gauge isnt showing a charge then it is a bad alternator or a bad battery. best thing to do is to take it to a dealer or a garage so that a proffessional can take a look. remember don't mess with the solenoid when the battery is connected or you will be electricuited. be catios when working with cars and electronics. good luck

Checked all the connections? battery terminals on those vehicles suck big time... also check conncetions going to starter... and for a real headache turner.. Some Fords use a secondary starter relay in the fuse box and I think the Focus has one.... (seems Ford can't let that starter solenoid that's away from the starter go after all these years)
Good Luck hunting...

Need more information; does the car have power at all? If the car turns over then your starter is fine. Three required parts for an engine to start, spark, fuel, and air. It may run ruff but it will start; if its running ruff then timing and vacuum lines are about the most common problem. With the computer systems in vehicles now a days its a little difficult to tell and you need a computer to tell you whats wrong with the computer anymore. Cheapest way now is just to take it in and have them tell you what the problem is.

Is the vehicle out of warranty normal bumper/bumper warranty on Ford is 3years/or 36, 000 miles. Did you have a Ford dealer install it, if they did you should find the invoice and make sure you have not gone over 12,000 on it, parts/labor for any replaced part , they would have to replace it again because it could have a defect, or if you installed it, you might want to take it to a Ford dealer and let them look at it, or something else could be causing this problem...

If the starter was change because the engine won't turn over, did you try turning the crankshaft to see if the engine wasn't blocked.
It's hard to tell what's wrong without seeing it.

Have you checked the battery? Is the anti theft light flashing, if so then you need to use the correct key or have the whole PATS system reset.
