Not a just reward, in my opinion. Spending eternity in Heaven is my idea of a just reward.
Just excessive is more like it. Scripture says that we "cannot serve both mammon (money) and GOD."
More effective evangelizing would be to like a CHRIST-like life.

The Bible says to be in good health and prosper(1 or 2 John); it never was part of God's plan for his people to be poor although it also states that the "poor will be with you always"; I feel that being prosperous is not sinful; but going excessive with it is a whole other ballgame; God has the power to bless you and can also put you in a position where you don't. If you look within the Bible, you know that Abraham and Job who were devoted servants of the Lord were wealthy. So I don't think it is not necessarily what you have per se, but what you do with it;

Yes, something is definitely wrong. Remember a long time ago when Martin Luther rose up against the church because they were charging people money in order to absolve their sins? It's the exact same thing with televangelists. "Just send me some money, support are holy cause, and you'll go to heaven, promise!"
If they truly had good intentions, all of their money would be going to charities instead of their pockets.

There is something wrong. Its about living the rockstar life. Tele evangelists and mega churches in my opinion are an abomination. Why do you think they got on TV so they could reach a wider audience and rake in more money from donations from the little old ladies who watch and desperate people who send what few dollars they have to some windbag who is living high on the hog "spreading God's word." I think this is totally opposite of what Christ advocated. Christ was for living a simple life with few possessions from what I understood about this message.

YES!!! Something is very wrong. They went from faith in God to faith in money. They've lost the real values of Christianity. That's why they continually ask for more money. Most need to go back and read the book of Acts and start over.
