The soul is actually our bodies. So animals do have a soul. Humans are a higher creation. We have a spirit that goes back to God when we die. Our soul goes into the grown. The spirit received by God is his way of remembering us.
"For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?" (Matthew 16:26)
If you exchange the word "soul" for "life" in the sentence above, the statement may seem less profound.

Zphtar..HAHA...you must have gotten confused. Those verses don't favor your case. Do Animals go to heaven? That has been the biggest debate in religions since the beginning of time. Most religions say NO, animals do not have souls, so therefor do not have eternal life. Ask anyone over the age of 60 (who is religious) and they'll all tell you no. You won't be in Heaven with Spike the dog. Younger preachers have put the idea across the table that they do...only to get beaten down by the older parishioners. Guess only time and death will tell.

Animal's are animal's and they have a SOUL (Spiritual Super-Computer, invisible) but not like OUR SOUL's. Their Soul's are very limited.
Human Being's were Created in the Image and Likenesss of the CREATOR, animal's weren't.
There are ANIMAL's in HEAVEN. EARTH is a Spin-Off of Planet HEAVEN. Some of the thing's on EARTH, will be in HEAVEN.
Animal's do not have an Eternal Spiritman like Human Being's.
You are a Spiritman(with a mind--first mind) you have a Soul (Spiritual Super-Computer--second mind) and you live in a Body (Flesh). YOU (a spirit) look just like your Body. Hope this helps. Ditto.....

I believe that all living creatures have souls/spirits. The difference between human beings and animals, is that human souls were created after the image of God. We are sons and daughters of God. Animals were created by God too, just not in his image.

No it doesn't mean that humans don't have souls. I am not a religion expert but I believe that it is clearly a belief of a majority of religions (particularly Christian) that humans have souls and that they are different than animals like dogs, cats, etc...

Homo sapiens are sentient beings which means they can think and reason. Other animals are considerably limited in this regard.
"All animals have souls. Human beings are animals, thus they do not have souls." This is faulty logic.
You would probably enjoy a course on logic.

Yes, but the people saying animals don't have souls also don't believe humans are animals. So...if you believe we are animals, which I do, then obviously animals have souls.

Yes, it would. Animals have souls. Look into the eyes of any animal and you can see it.
