First realize that school is an important game that will give you the opportunity to decide what you want to do with your life. Study smart but don't cheat. Pay attention in class, most teachers hand feed students answers. Use summaries such as cliff notes. Think aobut what type of questions a teacher likes to ask and look for them in class. Learn to take tests properly. Multiple choices are great, cross out obviously wrong answers and it will help you guess. Ultimately you will have to put some time and study but try to do it consistantly and start early. It is easier to study 30mins a day over one week than 4 hours in one day.

Study in a way that works for you and for the way that you learn. You may want to consult with someone at a Sylvan Learning Center who might be able to identify how you learn, if you have a learning disability, or help you find what you are interested in.
