Put it another way: How can sex be a bad thing if slaughtering your neighbors is a good thing? (And in the Old Testament, it is indeed a good thing.)

Sex isnt a bad thing.

Another thing to know about sex is that there is nowhere in the bible that says that your government has to declare you to be married. Worldly governments cant approve that, only God can.

So just remember that if youre going to have sex with someone, be sure to be prepared to make vows to that person in Gods eyes. Thats something he expects of us.

In the Old testament in the Bible people some people where instructed by God to slaughter others. The majority of the time it was because they lived very sinful lives and God was passing his judgment upon them. He doesn't do that any more because his son Jesus came and took the sins of the world on his shoulders and by dying on the cross provided a way for us to be forgiven. Now God's judgment of us will be when we stand before him after we die. Sex is not wrong. God created sex as a special bond between man and woman. He made it the only way you can truly touch another persons soul. I think that is truly beautiful. Orgasms are not wrong with out them we would have a lot less people on the earth. The bible does say masturbation is wrong and spilling "seed" that way is wrong. That's because when you masturbate you are withdrawing emotionally. If you do it a lot when you are with a partner you can't connect emotionally the same way. The bible only says sex is wrong outside of marriage. That's because of the emotional bonds you form when you have sex with someone. That's why when you sleep with someone it's hard to just let them walk out of your life and forget them.

Oh wow, that last answer was uncalled for. Sex is not bad! Only pre-marital and extra-marital sex. God definitely encourages married people to have sex. He sees it as good, not bad.. But only within the boundaries that He set because He knows what's best for us. He only set sex between a married couple so we wouldnt have to worry about unwanted pregnancies, diseases, heartbreak, etc. God loves us and wants the best for us. But of course, we humans think we know what's best for us... Which is the reason why STDs are at an incredibly all time high (1 in 3 ppl between the ages of 18-28 has one.. scary), AIDS is out of control, America kills 4,000 babies EACH DAY in abortion clinics, and many children don't know who their dad is. And it will only get worse!

About the slaughtering the neighbors... No offense, but have you actually read or even researched the Bible and meanings behind certain things that happened in Biblical times? Most of the battles in the Bible were fought between the Jews and other people groups that wanted to KILL THE JEWS. It's not like they were an innocent little tribe of hippies. They wanted to kill and torture Gods chosen people.. And of course God wasn't going to let that happen. Again, shows you what happens when you mess with God and disobey Him. And God ALWAYS gives warning before He attacks or brings wrath on anything or anyone, so if anyone is that ignorant or stupid enough to mess with the Lord, it's their own fault.

The people who wrote the Old Testament were writing the history of a people from a certain point of view, with a definite bias. We aren't meant to read the Bible and everything in it as prescriptive, or "how-to." The Bible describes the lives and struggles of people of faith, good and bad. There's plenty of sex in the Bible, Song of Solomon, Ruth & Boaz. It's a human book, with all the timeless human themes.

You might want to go back and read your bible somemore. Killing was a sin since day one. And Do not commit Murder is one of the ten commandments. Far as sex goes God says what is done in the bedroom bewteen man and wife is a good thing. Sex with someone other than your spouse however is wrong bc you are then sharing a special part of yourself with everyone instead of your special partner in life that God has given you. There for you are hurting them and that is a sin.

Hmz, i guess you still don't get it.

A true Christian is James Buchaby, lives in Columbus, Ohio, is married for 47 years to his lovely wife Mildred. They have three kids, but the kids never visit them anymore. Little Timothy was gay, so he was banned from home. Little Diana brought home some shelfish for dinner and Little Johnny masturbated. Once.
The kids were kicked out.

James only killed three heathens in his life, and also slept with his lovely wife Mildred three times. Every saturday Mildred bakes an apple-pie.

James and Mildred are the true Christians. They go to church almost daily, they tithe 10.05% of their income, they hate the rest of the world.

James and Mildred are the people that God loves. God adores them, because they follow all His rules. James and Mildred represent a minority of 0.0023% worldwide. The true Christian group got too small to use murder, mayhem and all other forms of smiting. But this minority thinks about sex all day, ad hopes God won't notice it. They think what God doesn't see, doesn't happen. So, they get frustrated like Hell. Hence: pls don't have orgasms, just to honor James and Mildred in their perfect little lives...

Galatians 5:19: Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20: Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21: Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

22: But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23: Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24: And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
25: If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Personally, the Bible plays zero role whatsoever in my determination of how I will behave. I really can't see anything wrong with sex when it is consentual, approached without deception, and done in such a way so that unwilling parties are not harmed.

Um, not really. Murder was considered a sin from the very beggining(Cain and Able). Sex is only bad outside of marrige.

An orgasm can have a therapeutic effect. Perhaps if ' christians' had a few more rather than denying themselves, there would be a bit less violence and slaughter.

they need to live their lives, this one is not a rehearsal
