Like some have said already, some denominations have what they call a Bishop. Are they legit? Depends on what you are asking. Are they a legitimate successor to the Apostles, and thus have Apostolic Authority, as given them by Christ? The answer then is no. If you are asking if they are recognized for their leadership role in their church, then yes.

In the Evangelical Congregational (a fairly small denomination, and I have no idea how representative it is of other Protestant denominations), there is a single Bishop elected to the position. There is a definite hierarchy, just not as extensive as the Catholic Church. The Bishop is the leader of the EC denomination, and I doubt anyone else would view him as anything beyond that.

Each individual group, like Lutheran, or Church of Christ has there own hierarchy. They have colleges etc. that are accredited as regular colleges secular people can go to for a religious education if they wanted one. Some of them are prestigious, just like some Private Catholic colleges.
I haven’t really every heard of a bishop in my church, just people that are higher up so they oversee a wider geographical area, but not a lot of ceremonial duties with the position, ya know?
Many of them write books based on life experience after being a minister for so long. Then they do guest speaking at the churches or fund raising for orphanages.
Sometimes there are meetings of different protestant groups all together. The promise keepers organized one in Minneapolis this last year it was called an "interfaith meeting" to build on each other's strengths. But as I understand it more mingling could have happened. Anyway I guess they do recognize each other..
Hope that answers your Q.

It depends on what denomination you are talking about. Several Protestant denominations have Bishops, and have a hierarchical structure. Episcopalian, Methodists, and Presbyterians all have Bishops.
