Alright, I am going on a long roadtrip coming up soon. I always have to go to the bathroom when I am driving. Last time I had to stop once every 15 mins and its not like I had been drinking a lot of stuff. I don't have a problem if I'm not driving.

Frequent urination can have many causes including diabetes, overactive bladder, urinary tract infection, Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia, congestive heart failure, prostate problems, medications, and cystitis. Please see your doctor for an exam and testing to determine what the exact cause may be. You can read more here

It sounds to me like you are stressing out about the driving a long distance, this stress can cause you to have to urinate more often.

If you don't want to make so many stops and if you can stand it, why don't you buy some disposable adult diapers. If you wear them then you wouldn't have to stop so often, only to change when you need too.

This can be really helpful if you don't have a lot of urine every time you go, and also it can be helpful when you are on a long stretch of road and there isn't anywhere to stop except behind a tree.

The astronauts wear a diaper under their space suits before lifting off. Think about it, they would never get that suit off in time, not to mention delays in lift off.

I can just picture one of the astronauts calling mission control to let them out of the shuttle so they could go to the bathroom. Nightly news "mission scrubbed today because of potty break".

You might try the diapers, it would ease your mind and you may find out you don't need anything after awhile.

Good luck and best wishes, have a safe trip.

Your description indicates that the reflex comes from your brain and it is a psychogenic. It is not due to Diabetes, urinary tract infection, hyper reactive bladder. You face the problem only in driving. So I think if you get psychotherapy for this problem from a Psychiatrist your problem will be solved.

It could be nervousness/anxiety about the trip. Also, if you expect you'll have to go all the time, you're mind could be playing with you, aka "self-fulfilling prophecy". Or, more medically, if this is fairly new you could have a urinary tract infection, frequent urination is also a symptom of diabetes. But, because it's only on car trips, I would go with the mental.

Anxiety behind the wheel? Or a medical condition? If it only happens on the road, I am guessing it is anxiety, hidden or otherwise. Adults should be able to control their bladder for hours. Maybe the jolting of the road contributes.

You may have a bladder infection it sounds like, and if don't have taken care in will continue and get worst. Your bladder is cleaning itself out and see your dr. soon.

overactive bladder or a urinary tract infection - is there a little amount when you go, if so - you have UTI. see a doctor, if not so soon, get AZO and drink plenty of water and cranberry juice.

You may have an overactive bladder. Ask your doctor to evaluate you. There are meds for that now.
