It depends on who spays the dog. Look for Humane Societies or Animal Shelters and see if they help provide spaying or funding towards spaying. Otherwise, call your vet for that information and don't be afraid to shop around to other qualified veterinarians because prices do vary.
"Q) What is the cost of spaying my dog?
A) This varies greatly depending upon location and veterinarian. Many private practices will discount this surgery far below what it should cost because many people select a veterinary clinic based on the prices of elective surgeries such as spaying a dog. The price for a spay can range anywhere from less than one hundred dollars to several hundred dollars. When price shopping, it is important to ask exactly what is included in the cost quoted on the telephone. Some clinics or hospitals will include the price of laboratory tests, anesthetic, pain medications, etc., while others may not. Therefore, a higher estimate may actually be offering the better price."

It really depends on the size of the dog and where you live.
A large dog usu. cost more.
My vet does spay/neutering for large dogs (+40 lbs,) for about $150, and small dogs for about $100.
Look in your local Animal Hospitals, and sometimes Vet. Tech. Students will do it for free (for practice), but there is more risks involved.
Keep in mind the spaying is connected with anestasia, anti-biotics, the E-collar, stitching removal and all that.
I got my cat spayed and overall it costed about $300 'cause her stitching got infected, so she had to have anti-biotics and all of the other junk.
But I am glad to hear that you are thinking about spaying your pet 'cause there are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy too many unwanted dogs and cats in the world!

It all depends on the place your taking your dog to. Some shelters are cheaper. Ask around, call your local veterinarian about how much does it cost and etc. No one could really tell you for sure because every place cost different.

I wondered the same thing because i have to get my dog neutered as well. From my research so far, it all varies. First vet place told me anywhere from 150- 200. The humane society said around 100. Make some calls and see what kind of prices you can get. I know I need to do it as well :)

It should be no more than $200 and more in the area of $100 or so.
Many humane societies have low cost programs to help you with the cost if you can not afford it. Call and ask them if you feel you need help with the cost.

Not too much. It costed us $80 to spay my Jack Russell. But if you go to the Humaine Society, it's probably cheaper.

i'm drawing a blank but im pretty sure we charge about 200+, it goes by weight and includes all pain medications, pre and post-op and bloodwork, and is depending on the doc includes using the laser rather than scalpel method (though this also causes the price to vary.) before anyone gets excited, we are not an overpriced vet, but rather one of the least expensive in the area!

It depends on the vet. Anywhere between $100 and $150 plus shots if they are not current on their vaccinations. If a vet charges less than $100 be weary as they may not be safe.
