well she goes out to pee i just thought that was a given and she already has a flea colar. we live where the people next door have alot of animals they don't take very good care of and i have called the animal place about them but nothing has happened yet.i spray once a month for fleas.but with the people next door i can't seem to ever get rid of them.their cats are mostly wild and hang out by my place because it's the only place they can get food.i am a animal lover and i can't stand to see animals go hungry or starve to death.

If she has fleas, then the fleas are in your house.
I wouldn't recommend a flea bath. What you can do is get a pill from your vet called "capstar". It starts working within 20-30 minutes and continues to work for 24 hours. It will kill all the live fleas on her. Ask your vet if it would be ok to apply a topical flea treatment, such as Advantage or Frontline, on her.

Also, get an exterminator. Wash, vacuum, etc everything in your house. Even if you do get the fleas off of her, if you don't get them out of your house they will continue to come back.

Hell no. You better get cleaning. And what do you mean your dog NEVER goes out? That's abuse. All dogs have to go outside to pee. Put a flea collar on your dog. When the puppies are born the fleas can and will kill them. Better get talking to a vet, if you don't have the money, you have no right to have a pet.

No flea bath for any pregnant dog/cat. Speak to your vet because the fleas will also feast upon the puppies when they're born. Any flea treatment should be approved by your vet and it can be harmful to the pups either in-utero or through mom's milk.

Darlin take it from me, I raise dogs for a living. Pregnant dogs can be very sensitive to those type of things. Be sure to read the labels on the back of the product... if its not safe it will tell you. And call your local vet, I'm sure they will have something for this. My female labrador is going through this now so I know what your going through. Best of luck.

You gotta get rid of them somehow and you should ask the vet. Some flea medication are safe for pregnant dogs and some are not!!!!! Do not make that determination yourself!!!! Flea collars are a no-no on pregnant dogs and they do not work anyway!!!!
Fleas will kill puppies very quickly!!!!!!!! Get to the vet very soon!!!!!! Then maybe get the dog spayed!!!!!!!!!!

Check the labels on the shampoo. They usually state whether they can be used for this situation. Go to Petco, Petsmart, or a vet if you want to be extra safe. They'll be able to recommend the right treatment for your dog's fleas.

most flea meds are toxic to puppies & I wouldnt want to risk it...you could try calling your vet to see if they reccommend anything in particular but for a quick fix you can bathe her using Dawn dish soap, the regular blue kind....its gentle, safe & wont hurt the puppies....wet her down, lather her up & let the soap soak in for about 5-7 minutes (carefull not to get it her eyes) and then rinse her off....this will not kill eggs or prevent her from future flesas but it will kill the fleas that are alive on her at the time!!! GOOD LUCK!!! also remember that after she has the puppies you still need to use care not to use anything on her that can absorb in to her system & transfer into her breast milk!!!
also it is safe to use Dawn on puppies that are too young to use any flea treatment on....like I sadi though just be carefull not to get in eyes or mouth!!! =D

You should call the vet and get her an appointment. Also, you'll need to vacuum the heck out of your house!
