I was with my ex for about 3 years off and on, we still talk occasionally. He says he still loves me, but I have a new boyfriend that I've been with for 3 1/2 years and I love him more than anything. So why do I still think of my ex?

that means you still like him or maybe challenged because he told you that he still loves you...
move on my friend.. he might end up ruining your lovely relationship.

I was with my ex for 7 years. I'm now with someone else that I have been with for 3 1/2 years. I still talk to my ex, and I still love him. I care about him alot. I will always love him. But not in the way I used too. So you probably love your ex in a different way. You care about him and always will, but you don't want to be with him in any way.

Because he was a part of you for awhile and with him telling you he still loves you it keeps him in your mind. Just stay where you are and be happy you obviuosly weren't happy with him or he wouldn't be your ex. I still think of my ex and it's been 5 years and I have a baby and everything. You may always but it's just a thought nothing more so don't worry, be happy

Probably because you haven't totally cut him out of your life and let yourself get over him. If you want that to stop, you have to make the stance that you aren't going to talk to or see him again. In time, you will stop thinking about him.

you still think of him cause you are still in contact with him.your current boyfriend must not be spending enough time with you if you still need to think of other guys.or he is not what you thought he would be.
