I believe that there is something out there. I don't know how to be sure of what it is. My upbringing tells me that it is called God/Jesus/Holy Ghost. But, how could so many other religions be wrong in what they believe in? I'd just like a little help in the right dirrection.

Well if you know you believe that is the biggest step. Now you need to look around and see what you "reasonate" to. You could check the religions and see if they work..I did not find them that helpful..ended up just making my own belief based on what actually is and how things work. I believe God is personal and no two people see or experience God the same way (which to me makes organized religion a little silly)

Dear chelsea,

I believe alot of people will give you an answer on your question. My counsel is to just read the Bible, slowly and prayerfully. I only use the KJV Bible. Let me also suggest this website to you: www.familyradio.com. There is a booklet entitled,"What Must I Do To Become Saved?" Everything from Family Radio is free. I do not know where you live, but they have a radio program called "The Open Forum" where people call in and ask questions and the host answer it from the Bible. I listen and get much help by just listening. I hope this will help you.

Most other religions are not wrong per say but believe different things about the same God. Alot of religions Believe in just one God they all have a different name for him which usually translate into God or its meaningis God. But if you are having doubts about what to believe pray on the matter and God will give you your answers if you take time to stop and listen for them.

Nobody can tell you what God is. God is found in all religions in different forms but represented as the One. God lives in each of us and is himself, I believe, of no one and only church or religion. Churches are man-made to control the masses through fear. The churches in this country use the bible as God's word when, in fact, it was written and transcribed by man.
A lot of the churches expect you to pay tithes, essentially saying you can buy your way to heaven. Personally, I would not trust a church that wanted my money.
Hypocrisy runs deep in the people that attend churches too. I have known supposedly devout people that go to church and call themselves Christians who were sexually abusing their children and others who were cheating, stealing and lying all through the week then went to church on Sunday to cleanse their souls, only to repeat their conduct through the following week.
My belief is that God can be found in ourselves and in nature. In the wonder and the beauty that surrounds us daily in small things. You don't need people in a church to tell you how to be one with God.

The very fact that you question yourself and your beliefs says you are on the right track. Speaking of tracks we're all on our own and so perhaps thier "religions" aren't wrong and neither is any "religion" that you may find. If you are interested in researching another religion check out gnosticism, not agnostic.
I used to ask myself the same questions you are asking and the gnostic teachings have helped me sort them out. Either way good luck in your search!!!!

Read everything. Read until something starts ringing your HELLO bells. When your heart is happy, you've found your spot. Personally, I prefer Paganism. There is no right or wrong, there's no one telling you how to believe. It's between you and the gods. We also don't believe in a hell or a devil. Those are Christian concepts, not ours.

I agree w/ Frodo...only you can choose the religion you believe in.
I recommend the Encyclopedia of World Religions. It gives a nice history and basic concepts of 12 major religions (not pagan/atheism tho). You need to educate yourself on the topics and find your own path...try not to limit yourself.
Good Luck!

This is a hard question.Your upbringing is right but you have to want a relationship with the God head and that is going to have to be between you and God.

That feeling you have inside of you is exactly the reason that religion was created in the first place. Humans like to think that there is more. Use your logic skills to see through this. Live your life to its fullest and love your fellow man.
