Depends upon you and your schedule.
I suggest meals high in protein say 3025-50 grams per meal. A good rule of thumb is 1-1.5 grams of protein PER pound of body weight. So 175lb male should consume 175-263g of pritein per day. Calories, carbs and even fats can be your friends depending upon the source. STAY AWAY FROM FAST FOOD!!
Try to eat a meal once every 2-3 hours. Whole/unpricessed foods are the best for obvious reasons, but sometimes unpractical. I personally consume 3-4 shakes a day and eat 3 meals per day. Shakes are great because thet have all that you need and are easy to consume and readily available.
I suggest Optimum Nutrition 100% Gold Standard Whey for the price, quality and taste.
Also do some research. Visit www.bodybuilding.com and search the forums. Tons of free and great information at your hands.

Eat protein and complex carbs for every single meal. so eat a lot of meat, make sure it's low fat, but also add in some fruits and vegetables. If you want more protein, add in some tofu. so a meal plan would probably be
Breakfast
Boiled Egg or tofu scramble
Sausage or bacon with the fat cut off
Milk
Fruits
Lunch
Steak or Lettuce roll sandwich
Dinner
Whole grain pasta with meat sauce and a grilled chicken salad.

My husband had a roommate who was a bodybuilder. He would have a large mixed vegetable salad and six chicken legs every night while in training. He said the legs had better quality protein for lifting. You need plenty of protein and a good variety of vegetables to meet your bodybuilding needs.

Im assuming you're doing some serious lifting as well... a high protien diet is important because thats what your body is using to repair and build up your torn muscles. Stick with eggs, brown rice, beans, fish, chicken, plenty of leafy greens, water, and nuts are a good high protien snack.

if u want muscle mass and be have toned muscles, then u can't just eat food and get bigger muscles, u have to lift weights, and also have a diet, try eating egg whites, tofu, CHICKEN, beef, no potatoes, no corn, no foods that have lots of carbs, the best way to gain muscle mass is probably to strength train, but when you do that, you will probably also gain fat, u will look buff but your muscles will not look very toned
