I currently have a Sony Burner already in my Computer. When I start the Decrypter program it's asking for a "source". I don't know what to put into this box. What is a "source"? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanking you all so very much in advance.

Request to asker:

Well, you've explained what you've *done*, which is good; however, what's missing is what are you trying to DO?

DVD Decrypter works like this: in *read mode*, if you insert a retail dvd in your dvd burner and select to open the dvd with it, it can remove the encryption from the retail dvd and write to your hardrive either a set of loose files or an .iso; it can't do anything with the loose files, but (in *write mode*) the .iso can then be burned by the same app. Decrypter can also do this with a dvd that's already on the hardrive. Finally, Decrypter recognizes about a dozen disk image formats which it can burn to either DVD or CD (depending on the dictates of the source disk image).

However, again, that may have nothing to do with what you are trying to do. For example, if you are attempting to burn an .avi file to dvd (regardless of how it got on your drive), DVD Decrypter would be *useless* as it doesn't even touch avi files.

The source is most likely the DVD you're decrypting. Sometimes the source can be a fie that is an image of a DVD or CD.
