Cause I have one and the medicine isn't working very well...

You can't cure a cold because it's actually a viral infection. Virus' mutate so fast that antibiotics aren't any treatment for them. Typically your immune system will fight the cold on it's own. Here's a few remedies that I use when I have a cold that help lessen the symptoms:
1. a strong over the counter sinus medication. Get the sinus kind made my either advil or tylenol. cold medications don't cut it. you have to get the sinus ones in order to get some kind of relief.
2. a hot steamy shower or bath to loosen up the sinuses, loosens up the chest, eases coughs and helps ease aches and pains. works wonders. so do warm compresses on the sinus area.
3. make sure to drink plenty of chamomille tea. Chamomile helps boost the immune system. Some echinachea tea or supplement will help your immune system also.
4. get plenty of rest. your body recharges itself when you're sleeping. give your immune system all the help you can by making sure you're rested. Good luck

There are no cures for virus. We do have vaccinations against viruses but none for the cold. There are to many versions of it.
We do have flu shots but that doesn't always work for the same reason.
Good old fashion grandma's cures and some over the counters are the best you can do.
For a cold it's all about symptom control

Sorry, the common cold is caused by a virus and there isn't a virus in the world that can be cured - only prevented with vaccinations. Unfortunately there isn't a vaccine for a cold yet because of the millions of different strains of the virus that causes it. Rest, fluids, decongestants... all you can really do.

The cold has too many symptoms and its complicated to figure out how to find a cure for all the symptoms with out mixes two thing together that can possibly kill a person or make them very ill.

The cold is a virus. Viruses mutate constantly. We can cure one virus, but then it mutates and the medicine is no longer effective.
