Because people are reluctant to have an open mind?

Man was created with the desire to worship the creator, but Satan wanted that for himself. The bible calls him the god of this system (meaning current world). See 2 Cor 4:4 and 1 Cor 8:5. The word Babylon is taken from the word Babel and means confusion. When God confused their language they took different religious beliefs in every direction. Some cultures have thousands of different religions, some christian, some non-christian.

Jesus is a god, but not the almighty God (Isa 9:6, John 1:1; 1 John 5:19, 20; John 1:14, 18.

Man tends to delevop religions for himself that will allow him to live the way he wants to. He determines for himself what rules he will follow and discards those that are inconvenient.

You can't take just any road you want to get to New York or California. The same with religions. It is still the case of a lot of Babel.

Symeon at Acts 15:14 said how "God for the first time turned his attention to the nations to take out of them a people for his name." It is important to know his name and use it. Jesus said at John 17:25, 26: "Righteous Father....I have made your name know to them...." Also Matt 6:9 the model prayer.

Satan is the god of confusion. Keep that in mind.

As stated before me, not all religions are the same. True, there is some evidence that there is overlap between some teachings and ideas in various religions, but at their cores, there are some very different ideas being put forth. Also, sometimes, the more similar the religions, the more heated the conflict. Look at the the Abrahamic faiths (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam). They have been at it for centuries, despite supposedly sharing a common ancestor and worshiping the same God.

The idea that all religions are basically the same is in itself a belief, and one that a great many religious people would disagree with. Strife frequently occurs through miscommunication and misunderstanding, so if you are interested in fostering greater peace and understanding between different faiths you need to be careful about the presumptions you make about the universality of your own beliefs. Telling someone that all religions are basically the same is no more tolerant than telling them that one god is real and other gods are false. Either way, you are informating your listener that your belief is right in an absolute sense, regardless what the other person thinks.

There is a vast span of differences in religion. Many believe in different God's and Many use different bibles as their guide for their beliefs. There is bound to be disagreement among religious groups because people can read any story and see it in a different light than others. We shop for food, clothes, cars ,homes, and that's what makes the world go around, we all like different things. I do not believe that all religions are the same. But I do believe that there is a way and a truth and we are instructed to seek for the truth.

Just think of how many people would object to this statement:

First of all there is a Son mentioned in the Bible and a sun.

The sun refers to the spiritual sun that is above the heavens (that is said to rain on the just and the unjust).

The Son of God refers to the Divine Human or the Word that became flesh.

The Father, Son and Holy Spirit is one God just like the soul, the body and the works in a single person.

Because each is taught that all others are wrong. They are brainwashed so deeply with this one-sided view that they are incapable of seeing that the other religion has many, if not all, the same laws, just with different names. There are variations, but the basic laws are in all of them.

Let me see: Judaism is for the Jews.

Christians believe that Jesus was the Jewish Messiah and that God raised Jesus from the death (hope for eternal life).

Islam targeted to a difference audience.

And that the three monotheistic religions.

And guess what, they are not the same.

Why do sports fans get in fist fights over who has the better team, when all the teams are basically the same?

There is very little similarity with (all) religions.

Most do not even share the same entity that many call GOD.

Each god has different attributes.
