alright check this out. the infiniti has issues withthe gastank mounted transversely in the back seat . it could explode upon impact. also its really a souped up nissan in disquise- high maintenance-my suggestion-no
the vw passat is ok more power nice car but it's expensive when it comes to parts. also it has issues with the radiator so the car might overheat on you and this is a pain in the neck to fix.
the altima is a good reasonable automobile but if i had to choose between the nissan and the honda civic go with the civic. cheaper to fix and better gas mileage. and if you really wanted to you could soup it up to look like a fast and furious car. just my 2 cents. good luck.

I don't know about car # 1 and 2, but the other two are a rip off. I live in chicago area and my friend bought a 2004 honda civic for a little under 10,000 with 40 something thousand miles on it. and I know the nissan altima is not worth that much becuase I bought a 2000 nissan altima with 71000 miles for $5,000 and it looked like new, so that car is is worth about 6,000 or less depending on its condition.

Go with the choise # 2. I have 2 VW's. Touareg and Jetta. Both cars are super. Never had better cars before. I traded my Mercedes SUV for Touareg. The best SUV on the market now.
I had 2003 Passat, but my father got into the accident (not his fault) and totaled the car which had only 600 miles (brand new). The Passat saved his life. I do not give advises usually, but here I give you one - take Passat - it is totally worth the money!!!

Car #3 - Honda Civic. Highly rated, reliable, dependable, the cheapest one listed, and gets by far the best gas mileage.

The low-priced vehicle will be a salvage/rebuilt, for this reason reducing that is easily value. Ask the broking service if the vehicle has been coverage destroyed, totalled/ rebuilt, or otherwise heavily damaged. by using regulation, he might want to allow you to already know the actuality, if the vehicle is a salvage/rebuilt and it isn't disclosed to you, you could back out of the deal and can also document the action to the sellers branch on your state.

I would go with the Nissan or the Honda....the miles are a little high, but Nissan and Honda have very good levels of owner satisfaction......be sure and pick up an extended warranty, most dealers will include it in the financing...... :-)

Good luck with this..
The Infinity..your paying a premium for the name...not worth it.
Passat has a terrible record of reliability and high priced parts
you could go with the Civic..if it hasn't been driven by a 18yr old kid and had the snot wrung out of it
or...my money would be on the Altima...dead reliable...good handling and very safe

I would go with #3 because Honda's keep their resale value very well, plus it gets good gas mileage.

They are all excellent choices though the Honda is probably the one that has the best reputation and will hold it's value the best.
