Run. If you are not overweight on other parts of your body, just have a little bit of extra jelly on the belly, then running will burn up any extra fat. Crunches and sit ups will just tone muscle and eventually burn fat but running will burn fat way faster. It's also simple (no special instuctions), doesn't cost a thing, will improve your heart and lungs, and will get you outside and enjoy the nature.

Get a good book on dancer's exercises. Some good ones are knee to shoulder kicks, deep knee bends, leg stretches and standing arm stretches. Of course, sit ups and standing toe-touch movements are excellent for keeping the stomach trim.

cardio is the best for loosing weight in any area... crunches are great for toning and tightening your tummy region... also try kickboxing or boxing, they tend to consist of a lot of trunk control (abdominal control) when throwing kicks and punches correctly.. also another great stomach workout is belly dancing, it works wonders on your midsection.. and remember keep good posture, that will also help strengthen those stomach muscles... when you're walking or biking or any type of physical activity, try to remember to tighten your stomach muscles during each activity, this will be like a mini crunch that will go a looooooong way in getting you that tight toned tummy you've always wanted...

good luck!

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
