It's love if you can be yourself around him and don't worry too much about what you look like to him or worry about what he's thinking, whether he thinks about you, etc. If you feel lust for him AND you're best friends, it's love. Either way, love is a choice. If you choose to commit to this person and then one day it seems like that feeling is "gone" it doesn't mean that it wasn't real love or that you don't love them anymore. You just love them by choice and those feelings come alive again and this time they are more mature, deeper, richer. Read "The Four Love Languages." It's a must read. But, if you have to ask this question, I have to wonder if it's really love. With love, you don't really question.

The lust is a biological response to the partner. Sometimes we feel lust for someone who we actually can't be with; different interests, age, background etc. The lust could be great beginning of the relationship filled with love. Sometimes it doesn't happen that way. Lust could be very strong between people, I guess because its basis is in biology (although we might find the person completelly unacceptable for being with)
Love is when you accept the person who he/she really is, no matter if you're in the relationship with him/her..Love is when you really wish to indulge to that person, to listen to what he/she has to say, when you predict his/her thoughts because you know him/her so very well, when you're ready to sacrifice for the sake of that person. There is no possesion, jealousy or bad words in love..In love, you could spend a day with your loved one without words as well as you could spend talking about everything and anything..

Give it time. I would say lust at the moment. Love is probably when you have been together for a while and the person irritates the f++k out of you sometimes but you still love them.

Love is a great thing, but those four words can hurt worse than physical harm. I would say wait a couple of months after being with this person. If looking at him still takes your breathe away after that long then its love.

Those feelings can be love or they could be lust. Only time will tell. Love takes time to cultivate and it's not until you see him in his totality (his bad as well as good). Don't be obsessed with labelling it! Just enjoy it and if it's Love, it will last. Good luck!

i think we all have lust in the beggining of relationships then it grows more bit by bit wit time and from that love grows so you have to take your time and see if it grows into something meaningful and beautiful ,don't be too anxious to know just realx and the situation will turn it self out

if he continually tells you that he loves you and wants to have sex, its LUST, if he does really sweet things for you and respects you then it is LOVE. anytime take your time and be careful because there are some things that can't be reversed.

Can you imagine him after a terrible disfiguring accident, would his kind sweet gentlemanly nature still do it for you. If so, could be love.
