That isn't too specific, is it? Paiute. I mean is that Pyramid Lake, Humboldt River, or Truckee River, or what?
The things I am curious about, which you may answer if you know:
How does one call the wind on a hot afternoon?
What time of year does sage blossom? What makes for a good flower?
How does one catch a wild horse?
If you twist an ankle far from home, what's the best thing to do?
If you can answer a couple of these, then I know you are really Paiute. Maybe your father and mother were born Paiute, but if you can't answer simple questions like these, then you might as well just hang up the "native" thing, because I can call myself just as native as you.
