You'd get real drunk without having to worry about gag reflexing while swallowing! Would probably have a huge headache in the morning still though.

This practice is very dangerous and can lead to life threatening conditions like internal bleeding. When you drink the alcohol it is slowly taken into your blood stream over a period of time. If you inject it into your vein you will get instant results as it will reach your heart and brain in a manner of seconds.
You also have to think about the dangers of using needles and the risk of hepatitis and other such diseases.
Although I would not advise it if you really want to get drunk just by a $10 bottle of vodka and DRINK it.

Haven't you ever seen the episode of Jackass where Steve-O does that? Its hilarious! He walks around the street in a hospital gown and and IV on a roller... hahahahahaYou just get drunk quicker.. and at a higher level.. but you could definately give yourself alcohol poisoning and that's no bueno so (*disclaimer*) I wouldn't condone, nor recommend doing that!
PS. Cindy below me is kind of slow.. you would not die if you put water into an IV bag and injected it into you... wow.. someone's never been in the hospital.. there is a water IV constantly being pumped into your veins so you stay hydrated. Silly.

If you put it into a small vessel, it would burn your vein. You could possibly get some kind of infection. Then if enough were infused you would have the regular effects of alcohol poisoning.
I heard of some girls in europe soaking tampons in vodka and using them so they could get drunk during school. That seems like a better idea if you're not into the normal alcohol ingestion process.

UHHHH You would die. You would die if you put water into an IV bag and injected it into your body. Not a good idea. Just take a shot or mix it with something.

You'd be really sick, or you can die depending on how much you put into your system. Don't do it. It would be very painful without your liver and saliva filtering the alcohol. Want to test it? Give yourself a tiny cut, and put rubbing alcohol onto it. Now imagine that pain multiplied by a lot INSIDE your arms spreading through your body.

Thats not so new, some poor people shoot vodka quite frequently.
Vodka is pretty close to medical alcohol and cleaner than whiskey or other booze.
By shooting it you get drunk a lot faster and it hits you somethimes like a flash...
BUT
BE CAREFUL!
You might die of an overdose!
The dose you need to get fully drunk is VERY VERY small, depending on your condition less than 5ml !!!!

You would most likely die. The digestive system can handle a "toxin" like alcohol and process it.
What you're talking about is putting it directly into your bloodstream ... which is likely to lead to alcohol poisoning. Besides, you'd be missing out on all the social interplay at the bar!
I don't really recommend it.
