An engagement does not cost anything but the ring. You don't have to have a party. And what else is there. You buy the ring, surprise her and hopefully she says yes!

You don't need a ring or parties to be engaged. To be engaged, all that is required is for the two people to agree to be married.

It only costs in feeling and time. If the engagement is a good one then the feelings are only positive and the time is spent wisely.

it should cost nothing, i think its tacky to have a damn engagement party to annouce your engaged. My God, thats what the pics in the paper are for!!!!!!!!!!!
