I have been working for 2yrs...and I met this new co-worker. At first, I didn't remember him until I saw him and his younger brother pass by me. Eventually, I figured it out who it was. The younger brother once liked me in HS and today the co-worker remembered me too. Before I left to work, I gave him my #. Is that alright? By the way, co-worker, 3 yrs older and younger brother is 1 yr. And don't worry, I know they are very cute/handsome. Thanks...;)

That was really quite dumb. This kind of thing is bad for a work relationship. There have been times when this very thing has led to losing a job, because of a spat away from the work site that ended up at the work site. For you it is even worse, there are two brothers against a single woman.

Dating a co-worker can be pretty awkward, especially if things don't work out as expected. Having said that, it can be nice to have a close relationship with someone you also work with -- it makes it a little more bearable to be at work!
Just be careful of the rumour-mills and the bitchiness that this can arouse in fellow colleagues. But apart from that, have a great time! Sounds like a fun little adventure!!

This situation is cool, but if you are in a higher echlon in the job for instance a Manager, you can lose your job fratenizing with employees. There is a rule of condut concerning the responsibilites of these postions and Human Resrouces are very strict.
There was a female Manager at an Apartment Complex. She dated and slept with a single tenant. Someone turned her in and she had to resign.

If you are in high school and his brother can get your number from you while you are at school and the brother could get it there also. No. But if he had a problem I am sure you would have heard about it from him or his brother or even a supervisor. By giving him your number you are letting him decide if he wants to have more contact than just at work.

Its no more wrong to give your number to a male co worker than it is to give it to a female co worker.
Just dont be sneaking around in the broom closets, lol.

I dont think it's a problem to go out with the co-worker as long as he is not your manager.

It is OK-- if it was done in a friendly manner not a really obvious flirtatious one. =Because you have to work with him and you did date his brother, so I would just be a little bit cautious, even thought you all are adults now.

You handled it perfectly...just don't sit around waiting for him to call. If he's interested: he will. You've made the first move, the next is up to him.
Good Luck!
