YES. They will have the oils on their fur, and can rub against you and give it to you ! I have ben a professional groomer for 21 years and have gotten poison ivy rashes more times then I can count. And I NEVER left the city( was too busy with the dogs.) It's an OIL, needs a bath with lots of soap.

Yes they can. My weimaraner got it on her tummy (no hair there) and it was a real bit#$ to get off because it's like an oil coating on the skin. The poor thing was freaking out for 2 days, until I gave her some medicine the vet recommended for the itch. Good Luck.

I am not sure they themselves can get poison ivy but I do know that they can get it in their fur and you can get them from them.
