... and I really mean for those who BELIEVE it, as in (very shallow gauge here), you would rate yourself an 8 or higher,
WHEN (all throughout childhood/adolescence?) did you decide that you were, and
WHY (because of a moment? a compliment?) did you decide it?

Part II: Have you ever wondered whether your whole personality would be different if you were (or felt you were) unattractive?

Suki, please read the question a little more carefully... I think you missed the root point (I was calling a spade a spade when I used the term "shallow," -- disclaiming the fact that by using a rating system, I was using a shallow gauge to determine beauty. I am deliberately talking about the type of beauty that is superficial: and by definition, shallow). And atually, I am neither ugly nor jealous. Just curious.

I have felt both sides of the coin. Once upon a time I thought I was so ugly and fat that I stopped eating. Then I just became sickly and thin and even uglier. Now that I'm older, I know I'm beautiful. I've been complimented several times on it. But I think it's the fact that I smile constantly and love to talk to people. I have nice facial features, but there are parts of my body I don't like. That doesn't make me ugly or need surgery or whatnot. There are people (including my family) Who think I'm beautiful when I try and that's all I really care about. Great question.

I don't think it is shallow to know you are beautiful ( do you think Brad Pitt wakes up every morning and says to himself "gosh I'm ugly" ).

Or what about Gweneth Paltrow, Jennifer Aniston, need I carry on.

I think your question is very small minded, if you think people who know they are beautiful are shallow and insignificant then you must be ugly, and jealous.
