If you want fast... but a sports car. A fast SUV will put you on your roof after you lose it. Plus your looking a horrible fuel mileage.

The Subaru is nice, but not very fast at all.
Actually, the fastest SUV at the $30,000 price point is the Toyota RAV4 V6. It's fully half a second quicker to 60 than the Jeep Commander with the Hemi and a nearly a full second quicker in the 1/4 mile!
It also gives you a REAL 25 MPG or better on the highway!

For over, BMW X5 4.6i will do you proper. For more the Porsche Cayanne Twin Turbo will do you awesome! For even more, just jump on a motorcycle and book on fools.

I drive a chevy tracker zr2 it has a small v6 dohc. It is probably not as fast as the Jeep but it is affordable

Why? With gas at 3.09, that's a awful investment. If anything, you should go buy a ford festiva.
