I'm a little concerned. Much more tired and unmotivated than usual, just as I seem to be coming around (up) from a chaotic few weeks (break-up) and year (recovering from cancer surgery)...I thought I was at a point I'd consider healed, my body's almost back, I'm winning races, looking to pursue some goals...I am ready to "go for it", to leap into my future...and suddenly I'm exhausted, quiet, reserved and hermit-like! ( I'm a high energy, expressive, social creature usually, even when I was going thru Hell ) Why so TIRED now? I should be flying!

It's finally catching up to you. You were rolling downhill full speed, now you have to cover flat land after such an arduous ordeal. Your body is just saying "Finally I can relax." Try less high-impact forms of expression and social interaction. Yoga, meditation, etc. Maybe your body is telling you it's time to focus some energy within.

I also advocate getting checked out, since you are a cancer survivor, but wanted to put in a word that it could all be just a natural reaction to your experiences.

The anaesthetic from the surgery will do that to you and if you had to have any chemo or radiation your body will be really tired. Just go easy on yourself. Maybe go to a support group for cancer survivors. It really helps my husband.

The brain works in mysterious ways. Maybe it is all just catching up to you now. Are you or have you thought of seeing a therapist. I did after going through a major medical problem and it really helped. GOOD LUCK

You should DEFINITELY see your doctor ASAP. There are many things that could be causing this -- everything from depression to a recurrence of your cancer. Don't mess around with fatigue when you are a cancer survivor!
