The only way that you will know for sure what is causing the bleeding is to see a doctor and have them check it out.

Have you been diagnosed with HPV? Generally that could develop into cervical cancer. Very common virus, not detected by a pap smear. Some people have no symptoms. If you have then it could be a means to be concerned a little more. However, either way you must see a doctor. Luckily that's how I knew something wasn't right and I caught signs of cancer early and kicked it's a** I am a 16 month survivor!! Be strong and see a doctor, till then don't worry too big, it could be a number of things. Woman are just complex that way unfortunately.

Did you have intercourse 3 days ago before you found the blood.
You could have any number of things. See your gynecologist. Its most likely not cancer. A lot of women have post menopausal bleeding. You not only have a cervix, but you have a uterus with a lining and 2 ovaries. fallopian tubes and a vaginal canal. You would have to be examined to decide where it came from. Also, are you sure you didn't just have an ingrown pubic hair or an ouchy on your labia somewhere. Could it have been from your urinary tract or your rectum, like a hemmorhoid. See, the whole thing can be tricky. Go to the doctor. I am a nurse and we have pts who swear they are bleeding vaginally, so we slip in a tampon and wait and that is not the right origin of the bleeding.

That doesn't matter you I wouldn't be to worried. My friend had menopause and was over with it for a long time and she had started bleeding again for a week straight. It was just something that had to get out and that was the way. All women bodies are different and one never knows what can happen and why. Do go get checked out by your doctor but don't worry untill he tells you for sure what it is. Take Care.

Post menopausal bleeding is an indication for a D&C to rule out endometrial cancer.
Make and appointment and get it seen to NOW.
It's probably NOT cancer, but that just isn't something to fool around with.
Good luck & God bless!

Just go to your gyno. It could be all kinds of things, but probably something more mundane like a ruptured cyst or simply uterine bleeding.

was it red (fresh) or old (brown)? either way see a dr. if it was fresh, it could be a tear, since the vaginal walls are weak and easy to damage. If it was brown, run, don't walk to the dr.
