Need more info. What motor? And what is the problem. From my experience, there isn't such a thing as an idle sensor. There are electrical parts that regulate the idle and sensors that relay information to the PCM (computer).

If it isn't idleing its the IAC valve, its under the top engine cover, 7 mm socket and remove the 4 screws and its a silver valve about 6 inchs long and two wires.

there is nothing called an idle sensor. idle speed control is on the plenum. be more specific

The senser you are refuring is also called a tps
it tells the computer where the throttle is at any time and adjust the speed according

4.0l dohc its under big plastic engine cover.
4.0l ohv its on the drivers side towards front of engine
5.0l is on pass side top of engine
its a silver valve with a solenoid built as on piece and has a two wire connector going to it.good luck
