I never heard that it wasnt allowed in christian religions, except for in the mormon church. I drink wine every once in a while with my dinner, and studies show that drinking red wine in moderation is good for the blood. But, to tell the truth, if wine was taken away along with all alcohol, I wouldnt miss it. Sure Im responsible when I drink it and a lot of people are, but there are a lot of people who aren't. We dont need alcoholic drinks and a lot of peoples lives would be saved if we didnt have alcohol.

There's nothing in the Bible that commands Christians to completely abstain from alcohol.
There are Biblical prohibitions against drunkenness, yes -- but not against the moderate and responsible consumption of alcohol.
In fact, the moderate consumption of alcohol is mentioned in a favorable light many times in Scripture.
Remember that Jesus turned water into wine at the wedding feast at Cana, as described in the Gospel of John.
He definitely would not have done this, if He had disapproved of people drinking alcohol.

Is thinking allowed for nonchristians? If yes, then why do most of them seem to not be using their brains very much?
Different kinds of christians interpret the Bible differently. I grew up in a household where drinking even one gulp of any alcoholic beverage was a prescription for eternal damnation. But like I said. I grew up!. The Bible doesn't say anywhere to not drink alcoholic beverages, in fact Jesus drank wine (probably pretty diluted) because in those days wine was safer to drink than water since they didn't have water purification systems like today. I believe there's nothing wrong with drinking a little wine or beer as long as you don't let it get to your head. I would stay away from hard liquors as it doesn't take much to get one drunk.
There are definite health benefits to drinking in moderation.
Some people however have a genetic predisposition to alcohol addiction (like my father in law). Those people should stay the heck away from alcohol.
If you can't control yourself, stay away from it.
PS. It annoys me when christians say that Jesus never drank wine. They say he drank grape juice... read the text:
"For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine, and you say, 'He has a demon.' The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and you say, 'Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and "sinners."'" (Luke 7:33-34)
I don't believe Jesus ever got drunk. People might call someone who drinks some wine a drunkard, but nobody calls people who drink grape juice drunkards!

There are a lot of different variations of Christianity, and in some, yes it is. Some even believe music is a sin.
When questioning anything about christianity, the best source to find answers in is the bible. Granted, it may not answer all of your questions, but it will answer quite a few.
I dont beleive in organized religion. I do believe in God, however, and Jesus Christ.
Jesus turned water into wine at a party he was at when they ran out. If it were a sin, why would he do such a thing?
Its pretty safe to say alcohol consumption is not a sin.

Alcohol IS allowed in Christanity. It is a legacy from Jewdism, and intrigral in many Early Christian pratices, some of which still survive today (ie Catholic Eucharist). So, there is absloutely NO PROBLEM with Christians drinking.
However, most christian churches advocate that alcohol be take in moderation.

1 Timothy 5:23 Stop drinking only water, and use a little wine because of your stomach and your frequent illnesses.
It's a funny thing that modern-day doctors finally discovered that a little bit of wine is good for you when Paul already figured it out 2,000 years ago. Alcohol is allowed. Getting drunk is not encouraged.

Alcohol is allowed, but is not to become an idol. In the old testament, hard drink is reserved for workers who need a respite at the end of the day, not for kings or others of leisure.

The bible talks of Jesus drinking wine (not juice) As a matter of fact, his first public miracle was changing water to wine.
The bible also says, however, do not be a drunkard.
There is a big difference between having a drink and being a drunk.

Two things.
Wine was used at the last supper to signify the blood of Christ and is still served in Holy Communion.
At the wedding in Cana when the wine ran out Jesus turned water into wine so that the festivities could continue. If it was good enough for him .........

Alcohol is allowed, but you need to be able to hold your liquor...i.e., it cannot be a serious problem for you. If you have a tendancy twords sin like maybe having sex with strangers, showing your privates off, getting angary and yelling, or just being an *** while you are drunk, then you need to not do it.
