Yes but like anything in life you get what you pay for. A true breeder does not actually make a lot of money from the sale of their puppies. And you are paying for quality health and temperament. On the other hand there are hybrid dogs that are outrageously priced that the so-called breeders do not test for congenital defects .So I would only buy a dog/puppy from a Kennel Club Registered breeder. And with rescue dogs like the ones found on petfinder.com you are paying for that pets upkeep,vaccines,heartworm testing, neutering and spaying etc.
