I half agree with you there. Mostly people want to argue and say their religion is right while the other person's religion is wrong, but sometimes people post topics or ask questions about their religion.

I've read some of the other answers, and some of them are very insightful. True spirituality and religion are two different things completely. In Bhagavad-Gita Krsna says that for one to truly understand their true selves and God, one must abandon all secular/organized religions. Yes, I've dreamed of full spiritual understanding all my life, no matter what it took. It's been a struggle, but I've gotten this far without being a member of any organized religion. Those religions only stifled my progress. And they only go so far in answering really important questions. Keep searching, don't give up. Just be sincere and persistant, and you will find the Truth.

Yes, very much so. Spirituality is a very important part of my life and I enjoy discussing it. I have no interest in converting people to my path nor do I have interest in arguing. Discussion and perhaps some debate, yet. Arguing, no.

Yes, I think there are. One good one I talk with are the Conversations with god sites or groups. We seldom if ever argue and I have grown spiritually alot with them.

I am very interested in spirituality, but not in religion. To me they are very different concepts. Our spirituality shows who we are, both to ourselves and to others. Religion is just a set of rules to live by.
Your spirituality defines who you are, what you believe in and how you behave. It is one of the few things that really belongs to you. No one can take it away or force you to change it. It is who you really are both inside and outside and on a higher level.
There are many people on this forum who ask questions or answer them just to get attention. It's a shame, but changing your catagory won't get you away from them. They seem to be everywhere. It is after all their spirit of self aggrandizement that causes this. Don't let their spirits gets yours down. I wish your spirit well.

spirituality: my personal relationship with my higher power
seems to me like this particular section is open to just about anykind of question. i know at times i see criticism about "this question is not suitable for religion and spirituality".......my question: "what then is appropriate, to be content with basic reasoning on religion?"
the confusion is in the seperation of religion and spirituality...religion is indeed the opiate of the masses....spirituality....(....resound)...just how close of a personal relationship can i have with my higher power....first of all, i give my higher power a name: Yahveh Elohim...then religion begins, then arguments begin.
please do not quit!
Every particle in the universe contains sparks of holiness
We must release each spark from the shell
And raise it up
How are these sparks raised?
Acts of lovingkindness
Being in harmony with the universe
And, through higher awareness
There are many opportunities to raise sparks here on Yahoo Answers, the choice of our words, the interaction we have,
everything in daily life presents sparks locked in husks awaiting:
RELEASE
(if you feel you must go to a different section; then, by all means go....but, you will return.....'cause you know this section is where it's at)
thank you

It is a part of spirituality, let them argue, they are vommiting the mental garbage, which is good and making space for the spirit to rise.

Sadly, for many, conversion is at the heart of their spirituality .... thus all the arguing.
People tend to confuse spirituality with its great enemy, religion.

Spirituality and Religion are different animals. To be Spiritual I need to believe in something or someone greater than myself without necessairly labelling he/she/or it as GOD. Religion requires a belief in God (that is assuming there is one). PEACE!
