My Step-Daughter is almost 16 and she is hanging out with a VERY DANGEROUS GROUP OF PUNKS!!! I mean BAD GUYS!! These are REAL Gangs! She does not live w/ us she lives w/ her biological mother who gives a **** less what she does as long as she gets her stupid *** child support for her!!! She lets her do what she wants ,lets these guys stay the night and party in her house!!What do I do? I love her like she is my own and I am heartbroken over it!!I don't know how to get through to her what can happen to her!She is a beautiful girl she is younger,naive &immature. No I am NOT predjudice so do NOT take it that way !!ButI am against TRASH!!! These guys look like all the druglords in the movies!!! No joke!! They carry guns always and even put one into my daughters friends mothers face!!! She grew up with this woman and her daughter in the neighborhood and lets her new friends do this to them!!!The only thing I can think of is to go to court and get custody???Help??

i would call either call the cops to bust that mother for contributing, which will give you custody or at least really good grounds for it.... or CPS, but the mother will most likely lie about it.... i think you should do something to gain custody of this girl before something awful (drugs, pregnancy, physical harm) happens to her....
...but be warned....if you persue this, beware, because i can tell you now that child will give you HELL!! she is going to be bitter, mean, resentful that you took away the parent that will let her do who and what she wants....its gonna be hard so be strong!! good luck!

Unfortunately custody probably won't solve your problem. Your step_daughter is 16 and has made a bad choice. She is old enough though that even if she lived with you, you probably would not be able to stop her from making this choice. Your best bet is to keep the lines of communication open to her and just keep talking to her. Let her know how scared you are for her and her future. Don't put her down, but talk to her about what she wants in life not only now but for her future and help her to develop a picture of her future where her actions now are detrimental to that future. She has to figure this stuff out on her own and want to change, all you can do is help facilitate that.

My friend grew up in a similar situation, he was the child. He got into all sorts of trouble while living with his mom; she let him do whatever he wanted and had no positive influence on him. He admits it was a cry for help. He wanted his father to intervene and take him to live with him. He often says there would have been no way his father would have let him get away with his past behavior.
Having said that, I suggest you, talk to you husband and try to get custody of your step daughter. She may go willingly or not, however it looks like it is with her best interest in mind. I would not sleep on this on. I would take action right away, before any more damage is done.

i say go to court right away before those PUNKS get her pregnet or worse! and as soon as you do get custody take her away from that neighborhood or town and bring her somewhere else and show her that she cant act that way -- your doing this because you love her. if she doesnt understand and hates you for it, toughen up, she will thank you one day when she is having a good life with a family of her own and not out on the streets beging for money!!

I would convince the biological father to go back to court and get custody. Of course the B0tch will put up a fight because she wants the child support but you need to fight for what's right.

I would turn her mother in for any illegal acts that she allows these young people engage in. I would do what I could to get her removed from that situation.

get all the proof you can find to back you up, go to the cops, anyone you can that can help your case, get a good lawyer and get the kid the hell away from that stuff fast. good luck.
