You are correct. The wages sin pays is death, not suffering forever.
Romans 6:23--"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
This shows what a loving God we have. He does not torture sinful humans. We inherited sin from our first parents. Once we die, any sins are paid. The dead will be resurrected though and then will be judged at that time. There will be a resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous.

The wages of sin is death... and depending on which definition of Hell you are using... the Hebrew? which is only the grave and everyone who dies is gonna go there. Or the Greek Myth of Hades? That fiery place where Hades allows his 3-headed dog to chase down all the truly evil ppl while the good ppl await for their god(s) to claim their souls.

Dont believe in heaven or hell. It's reincarnation for me. But I'm happy for you. You have your own belief system that works well for you and for that I am glad. Best of luck to you in the future for it is diversity that makes our world.

Can't ask jesus. Jesus is dead. Can't communicate with the dead, they're gone. Don't think he'd really know anyway. I can make something up myself, if I really want to. Don't need jesus to do that for me.
