Well Lennon imagined a place with no religion...this means a world where people have more space to breath and love on another - instead of a lifetime of devotion to an invisible being.
Think about the history of hate and war - most caused by relgious persecution, differences, and law. One less factor to separate us from one another is a plus in my book.

With personal beliefs over "religion", the world would be a more peaceful and pleasant place. Organized religions just add one more iron to the fire of racism and segregation. Having said this, I would hate for people to give up personal spirituality.

Well, consider what has happened in Communist countries, like Cuba and Red China and the former Soviet Union, not to mention Laos and North Korea and Pol Pot's Cambodia and so on.
They all officially removed religion in their societies.
It's no coincidence that they've also imprisoned, exiled, tortured, and killed hundreds of millions of their own people over the last 90 years or so.
So, what does that tell you?

A much happier and peaceful place. With no religions, fighting each other, there would be a lot less bloodshed, around the world.

That could be very interesting. I think there are many goverments and cultures in our world that are based solely on religion. It could be kind of scary. Then again, not everyone lives their life on religion.
As Lennon said, Imagine :-)

Well, check out what the former Soviet Union was like (or North Korea).
No human rights, depressing, without hope, and the powerful exploiting the weak.
Any other questions?

I mean, wars have been started over religion and just recently people were killed because the watched the World Cup because it was a violation of a super strict interpretation of Islam.

I think the world would be a safer place. There would be no fighting/terrorism because people would not be able to argue as to which god is more superior.
