Do you think that special forces or any military branch will use active camouflage to make them look invisible or is it just a concept that will never be used.

They are currently working on testing different technologies. Some of the technology being tested is better than most people may think. Some can even hide from thermal cameras and radiation detectors. It's still going to be a few years to get into full production (cost). But as the production levels can increase the cost will go down.

I remember when the TV screen on the wristwatch was nothing more than a Dick Tracy gadget... the "communicator" with the flipped cover and the video disk was for Star Trek etc.... I don't see why active "see through" cammo is all that far fetched.... I'm sure someone will invent a fabric that has integral LED technology that allows that to happen.

I saw something on the history channel about this. They said they are in the process of making them but it is very expensive and will be used for special forces first.
