It's true...the FDA allows a certain percentage of bug parts (and rodent hairs) in food and drink that millions of people consume everyday. It is so tough for me to eat almost anything if I think too much about it. But now I'm thinking...does this technically make me less of a vegetarian 'cause I eat these products or am I just a vegetarian who eats bugs?

A previous answer ▲▲ made mention to the fact that grains already do include some strange substances. If I am not mistaken the government allows a certain amount of mouse hair, feces, bugs, etc. in grain silos. I suppose it is impossible to completely eliminate it.

it's quite common for processed foods to contain bugshells. No big deal.
Ever notice bags of old flour will get bugs in them? it's cause they're processed with them

Most grains - breads, cereals, etc DO have bug larvae and such in them.
Hey - if it tastes good, and you don't really care, then you'll eat it. C'mon, if you knew what EVERYTHNG you were eating had in it, you'd feel yicky!

They have more than shell bits - other body parts too.

Oh well, extra protein. If I can't see it, or notice by taste or texture, I can live with it.
