You cant stop them because losing or gaining weight causes stretch marks, but your doctor probably has some cream to help minimize the stretch marks. Also stretch marks happen because your skin is basically contracting to your smaller size, just like your skin does if you become bigger.

Loads of cocoa butter or a reallly intense moisturiser or baby oil. Stretch marks occur when weight is rapidly gained (such as in pregnancy) and the skin does not have time to expand so ti gets stretched. I'm afraid that once they're there, they will stay, although they will fade with time and become less visible with weight loss. It is best to use the stuff twice a day from the first sign of pregnancy to avoid them in future.

Stretch marks are unsightly. It's caused by loosing/gaining weight too quickly. From what I gather reading your q, you aren't from the US. With that in mind, cocoa butter is good, Vitamin E is good, there are capsules that you can break open and rub on the areas. Here in the US we have something for Stretch Marks, I forgot the name of the company. Maybe Queen Helene? It's a green/white box. I'll look into it and update if I find it. Hope this helps!!!

You got the stretch marks when your belly expanded during your pregnancy. You don't get stretch marks when the tissue shrinks. They just become more visible and sometimes darker over time.
Some people's tissue is more dense and can handle expansion and contraction better than others. I'm afraid they're there to stay. Best you can do is minimize how obvious they are with some creams.

Well done you!
Try Palmers cocoa butter its the best can use it before during and after pregnancy but need to use it often. Or a product called bio oil, that is great for all sorts including fading scars and stretch marks, it is a bit more expensive but not bad. Hope this helps.

Stretch marks are scars formed when skin is pulled in directions that are dictated by pressure exerted by weight...as in your pregnancy. They can be lightened by applying ointments on it over a period of time (visit your local chemist for a suggestion)...but may never completely disappear.

IT occurred already....you stretched, the skin, rather, as you got bigger. What you see is the end result....no turning back now. My son saw a commercial for some stretch mark aid cream and said to me "Mom, You need that for YOUR stripes" I say deal with it, maybe try some inexpensive creams?? but ultimately unless you have big$$- you gotta deal.

Homeopathic Treatment for Excessive Fat and Weight :-
PHYTOLACCA BERRY's Mother Tincture is perhaps the safest and sure fire way of loosing excessive fat around abdomen. With Phytolacca Berry once you loose the excessive fat and weight you don't get it back because you body takes care of itself after that and keeps you from gathering up excessive fat. It is prescribed after having a baby too, to get the tummy to loose its flab and to make it flatter and tighter. And after loosing weight with this you don't get flabby it tightens up the flab and skin along with helping your body to shed the excessive accumulation of fat around the girth
The dosage is 15 to 20 drops of the tincture in half a cup of hot water thrice a day half hour before or after meals.
Avoid Chocolates, Coffee, Mints, Red Meat and Carbonated and Alcoholic drinks while taking Homeopathic Medicines. You have to take it for at least 30 to 45 days after that you start to feel the results.
To the best of my knowledge its the safest and the most sure fire way of loosing fat and weight and keeping it of for keeps. Excellent remedy for Obese people who cant seem to shed weight despite trying.
Homeopathic Remedies can be found at all Major Herbal Stores or could be bought on line, In most of the world Homeopathic remedies are quite cheap and easy to find and they do not need a prescription.
Take care and God Bless !
