I moved when I was thirteen also. I moved to another state away from everyone I know. Know that you will make new friends, but that it will take time. Can you write letters to your mom? Do you read books? During this very hard time I wrote letters to those I missed and read lots of books. I tried to enjoy my summer before school (although it made me nervous to think I have to be the newbie). Before you know it you'll feel at home where you are and will be used to life as it is. This is just for a time, and time is what it will take to get used to it. Do you have a church you go to?

Its hard to be away from one of your parents even worse when you don't have a choice. What I used to do was sit down and write my mom a letter when I could not be with her. It doesn't matter if you write 50 a day. You don't even have to give them to her if you don't want to. See if she will write you also. A phone card is good so you can call long distance with out running up any bills so you can speak to her whenever you want. Find a good book to read. I used to read the same books as my mom when i was gone so we could be doing the same things together still and it will give you something to talk about also. Hang in there. Its tough. but i am sure you can do it :) oh and don't forget about email..

It sounds like this move is something that you didn't want. I know it can be hard. Maybe you could e mail her as often as you can. Write letters as well. Things may feel out of your control right now but you may also want to start keeping a journal. This way you can write down your thoughts and once you are back with your mom, you could share those with her. Good luck!!

Try getting out. It's going to be okay. You'll be better after a week. Hey, go shopping. It always cheers me up. You really can't do anything but stay in touch with her and enjoy yourself. Time goes by fast.
