Come on People!!! In this day and time, nothing is new anymore, especially not that. Speaking from experience- I was 15 and my boyfriend (now husband) was 25 years old. My parents didnt mind. I was mature and looked like I was 18. It really depends on her parents feelings and how mature she is. And yes, it is Statuatory Rape only if you have sexual relations with the person. In some states the parents have to push it before jail time is actually spent. If yall have feelings for each other, and it is ok with her parents and she is not still playing with babydolls, then go for it. Just be careful....

Dude, find someone to hang out that's your own age. You're college age and she isn't even old enough to hold a job. She probably doesn't even have pubes yet. 22 and 18 is cool. 18 and 14 is creepy.

---

OK, hypothetical...fine. It's still creepy. So what if she looks 16 and acts "mature". If an 18 year old thinks a 14 year old is "mature", most likely he's coming down to her level rather than her coming up to his. And her parents are cool with this??? If I had a 14 year old daughter and some 18 year old should-be-dating-college-women guy comes up to my door looking for her, I'd have to decide between shooting him or chopping him up into little pieces.

No. For several reasons.

1) Jail. Not fun. Not really worth it, right?
2) She's fourteen. As in, no more than 2 years out of sixth grade. That's still elementary school in many places. Yuck.
3) If you had a 14 year old sister, would you not want to strangle the 18 year old that she was dating?

As for the previous answers----come on, people, they're asking about dating---not sleeping together. Or is that synonymous now?

But I do agree that at this age, 4 years is too big a difference. It won't matter in a few years, but right now, there almost certainly is, maturity-wise.

I don't think it is wise for a 18 year old guy to be dating a 14 year girl.I really don't think this was a good question either.Because if the girl gets upset or mad at the guy then she can yell rape. Then the guy is pretty much doomed.

faber girl is dumb, its only illegal if you have a sexual relationship. i think its questionable...you shouldnt be dating a 14 year old cause of the maturity difference, its not that you will pressure her or anything, but something is up if you are going down to such a innocent age. Your better of dating in your own age group. But who knows, it could work out, talk to her family ...thats your best option

Not only do I think it is a very bad ideal for an 18 year old to date such a young girl it can land him in jail. This could ruin his life by makeing him a registered sex offender which could hurt his chance of a good job and make it harder to go to college later.

I would NEVER let my daugher (I don't have a daugher yet but same principle) date an 18 year old at 14....probably won't let her date at 14 period. Think about it...if she was your daugher...what would you want?

NO! Haven't you seen Dateline, where they arrest sexual predators and guys who are having relations with underage girls?! Stay away from her and find someone your own age!
