Hubby and I plan to move to Texas. We will drive from North CA to San Diego, through Arizona and New Mexico into Texas. Are there any special laws, licenses, charges ...anything to be aware of at the borders of each state? Never driven to another state before. All help appreciated thank you!

The only state I've driven through where there were border inspectors was California - I was shocked!

No "border" crossings anywhere along the way. You can put your passport away too.

Be careful if you are carrying any firearms. Every state has different laws on firearms. Make sure they are unloaded and in the trunk.

When you arrive in Texas you should have two six-shooter strapped to your hips and every time you stop, get out and scream "Yee Haw!" while firing your pistols in the air. It's a Texan law.
