They are made out of stainless steel usually. Some, of course, may be silver and others could be plastic, or wooden! Come to think of it, spoons could be made out of anything really - just as long as it wasn't potentially poisonous!

there are many different types of spoons, some are made out of silver, some gold, but most of the average spoons you find in your house, or at a resteraunt are made out of alluminum, that is why they arent that expensive. alluminum is a cheap medal to process, it melts at a farelly low temperature, and theres alot of it
