My 7 yr old gets horrific gas pains almost daily.
We started combating them by making a tea out of mint leaves.
Look in the spice rack and see if you have any dried mint.
Put a mugful of water in a pot and put about 1 tsp of dried mint into the water. Bring to a boil. Pour into the mug and mix with 2 tsps of sugar. Drink it down.
The mint will help the cramping to stop. The heat from the warm liquid will help the bowels to relax a bit and usually will help to combat the constipation.

I'm not positive but it could be an imbalance of stomach acids... I found that out the hard way by taking a supplement for added digestion via an extra boost of 'essential acids'. You could have her eat something that is alkaline in composition... Milk of magnesia really helped, it tastes incredibly vile but it did the trick! That is just one possablilty...
