I only put in a shake or two. I don't like that much salt in my food. I prefer peper.
As to knowing how much is two much. You know when you can really taste the salt.

If it tastes unpalatably salty, you've added too much. To fix it, add a LITTLE BIT of sugar. I'm not kidding about this, I do mean LITTLE...lightly touch your finger to the sugar in your sugar bowl...if you can count the grains, that's about right...add that to the scrambled eggs. The point is not to "taste" the sugar, but to "not taste" the salt. If you can still taste salt, you can repeat the above procedure, but remember: 1) everytime you add sugar, use the "finger-tip count-the-grains method, and 2) if you add too much sugar, you've pretty much ruined it.

I dont really think there can be 'to much salt'. Salt is just a way to get the water boiling pretty much. Go ahead and taste it...but i do suggest you give it a good amount of salt.

I got used to knowing how much salt or spices I would need to put on my food. The easiest way is to put very little and taste it when it's almost ready. If you need to add more then you can do that, better than putting too much and not eating it.

When the people you are making them for says "You planning on having some egg with the salt you just served us?'' or "Damn, are you trying to send me to the hospital for coronary heart failure?''
to be honest, it's better to add salt little by little having to add isn't bad, it's when you have to much, that's when you run into trouble.

You should not salt scrambled eggs as they are cooking, the salt will dry them out and make them tough and rubbery. Salt them after they are cooked, before you eat them.

Don't use any salt at all. Sprinkle the salt on the eggs after they are already cooked and on your plate.

They get "insalted". Hahahaha. Well, seriously, to me, any amount of salt on eggs is too much. I only put pepper on them. If you do like salt, for your health's sake, don't put on more than one sprinkle.

Add a 'sprinkle' per egg and then taste. You can always add more at the table, but you can't take it out.
