If it is not "you," then it may backfire. On the other hand, there's nothing wrong with "packaging" yourself to your best advantage. Don't lie, though. That will do damage if it's found out. "It's a sorry dog that won't wag its own tail."

Michelle, I assume you are young and pretty vulnerable. The thing is, I think we all want to make a positive impression in other peoples eyes, but one day you will see that more importantly is how you feel about yourself. You have to like yourself before anyone else can. Don't focus so much on what others feel, you will learn in time that people will like you for what is inside, not necessarily how smart and cute you are. My Mom always told me "Pretty Is As Pretty Does" Good luck Michelle!

It is never a good idea to try to 'impress' others. Just be yourself. If you are truly genuine, people will see you for who you really are, and will be impressed with you. Don't dwell on what others think all the time. You are who you are. Be proud of that.

Darling, you have to live life for yourself, not others. If you try to be what others want, you end up forgetting who you are. Not to mention, life is much more enjoyable when you to do things for you. That doesn't mean that you can't be kind to others, it just means that don't try to be what your not. I hope this helps.

BAD? No, that's good. It is always good to try to be pleasant and friendly. Pleasant and friendly people are typically the ones that are happy and have the most friends.

we all do it, its part of sensing our own ego strengths, and seeing who we are, where do we fit in; its also part of finding a nitch and seeing if others will like us inspite of our weaknesses. its ok. the problems come in when you do it even you you are doing things you really dont want to do like sex, drugs, or drinking too much; thats called peer pressure and thats not ok. got out! dont seel yourself short. dont be giving in to shitheads who make you feel like crap, if you really deep down dont want to do something. be real to yourself. but totherwise, yeah we all do it

Just be yourself, there are to many copycats, and not enough originals out there. What if someone expected you to live up to your fibs?
