That statement is loaded with guilt. Its so clever the way that the church convince their followers that they actual owe the church something. Its how they get attendences every week and control these idiots.

Well, you don't know what that kid did and didn't do... Let me replace a few words here and there:
"I'm so very glad that my patsy took the punishment I deserve - so I am perfect in the law's eyes because of what that guy did for me!" - a Mafia godfather.
Is Jesus the Christians' patsy? Is there any twinge of morality or conscience in the sentence that I wrote above? People recognise this as psychopathy - and that's exactly what it is. An absence of remorse, no idea of right-and-wrong.
Is this what Christianity has created?

why would someone die for YOUR sins. There is no SIN, HELL or SATAN. Do your research and you will find out that the church has told you soo many lies. God loves you the way you are because THEY MADE YOU. and they would never punish you, if you think they would, then you are Humanizing God. When it comes to jesus, well he came here to live that life and tell us that god will love us no matter what, and guess what??? yes, humans, KILLED HIM. to keep him quiet, how much POWER would the church lose if we all found out everything we have ever been told is a LIE.

Well what it actually means is that because we were/are all sinners, we don't deserve the life that Jesus has offered us. We are as bad as anyone and deserve to go to hell but because Jesus died for us - we can know go to live with Him eternally if we accept Him as our Lord and Savior.
Glad to know you are interested in knowing and not just trying to challlenge the Bible. Those are the best types of questions.

"The wages of sin is death" So, since the poster is admitting his/her sin then it follows that the punishment is deserved. The punishment for sin is the same regardless of the ranking that humans give to acts of evil. So it doesn't matter if you killed someone or if you worshipped some false god. The punishment is the same.

Man, I knew kids like that in school! They would do all kinds of crap and then let someone else take the punishment. I think she should just fess up, get over being perfect in anyone's eyes and take the punishment she so richly deserves. ;)

The punishment that all mankind deserves is death! So I agree with the poster, I'm grateful for what Jesus did for me and yes, I am made right with the blood of Jesus to cover me.

I'm always a little confused when christians say that jesus was without sin. I mean, according to the myth didn't he once go kind of berserk and trash a bunch of money-changer's stands in a temple? I mean sure, he didn't think they should be there, but wasn't it wrathful to do what he did? Isn't that a sin? I think there's a lot of christians out there who don't know their own mythology. Sad.

If a man is perfect and is offered two choices, right or wrong, and he chooses wrong, is he still perfect?
If a man chooses WRONG he can be likened to a tin pie plate that has been bent out of shape. No future pies can come out perfect from that pie plate.
Jesus did not come from that pie plate. His father was God himself, a perfect pie.
Jesus chose RIGHT.
However, you are still from the imperfect pie plate. Jesus's choice allows you to stand up and straighten yourself out.
