Has anyone had a vesectomy?

I was looking to get it done and was wondering about the prcedure and cost.

Yes, I had it done. They did it in the office Friday afternoon & I went to work Monday.

You would never know you had it done. There is no difference in anything except the worry about pregnancy.

You are not immediately sterile. You have to bring a sample to the doctor a couple weeks later & he will test it to verify you are safe.

My insuarance covered it. I think it was $1200.

Piece of cake! Hardly any pain. A little soreness for a couple days & that was all.

i had a vasectomy a few years ago. the drugs were AWESOME-- id do it again just for the drugs.

mine took about 10-15 minutes. they made a small opening in the front of the scrotum--in the mid-line. they fished out the vas def-one at a time, removed a section and burned the ends closed. they replaced the vas inside and closed me up.

i was sore but it wasn't that bad.

mine cost about 30 bucks on my insurance

My husband had it done. They did it laproscopicly. Small pinpoint size incision, mildly painful for about 3 weeks. Insurance pain for it. From what I hear, it's about $2,000.00 though. Just be sure it's what you want to do, a reversal costs roughly $10,000.00 and up! Pray on it.

My husband had it done. He had very little pain afterwards. It only hurt when he forgot, and squatted down that night.

It was done at a reduced cost through our county health department. Check into yours.

I have ... Without insurance and this was 8 years ago it was about $500.
