The Most HIGH LORD has made the World as a mountain, where sliding down is easy, but fighting your way up is hard. But, as you rise, you get more fresh air, you become stronger having fought your way up, while those who slide down constantly get lower, although it is easier to slide down than to rise up.
UP is the way to the Almighty LORD, so it is harder. Achievement always comes after a struggle. What is gained without a struggle is usually easily lost or not valued as much.
The same is true for life. Material wealth and physical satisfaction is temporary, whereas spiritual rising is harder to achieve but is much more satisfactory. As you rise higher in the spiritual realm, you get free from the holds of the material World.
One does not have to leave this World to be spiritual however, as a Muslim I sincerely believe that we have to serve the needy and help our sick and elders especially our parents, so that we can rise closer to God.
God is ALL GIVING. Giving can be done from a higher station. Taking is done always from a lower station. Giving thus is an act of godliness, but requires us to rise and overcome the mountains of desire, so that we may freely give without regret. To reach that level, you have to struggle up and higher towards the MIGHTY ONE and those lofty men and women who have achieved greatness by climbing the spiritual mountain and have stationed themselves in the position of giving.
Sun shines on many as it rises higher, and benefits many, so it lives longer. Oceans cause many rains to fall, but the clouds have to rise first before they can benefit others. The mountains on which the rain falls pass on the nourishing water to those below them, while the ponding of water can cause a stink if it does not move or benefit others. Thus in the nature of things giving is better and taking is lesser. One has to rise high to give and one sinks low when one takes.
Rising is harder, falling is easy, always. I hope this makes sense.

Sin is sweet only for a season the Bible says and there is no doubt on that. To do what is right is hard at times - we were born in sin and shapen in iniquity. Our natural tendency is to sin. God calls us not to sin, remember what he said to the rich man in Mark 10 to sell all that he had and give to the poor and he didn't. We are called to take up our cross and follow Jesus not that he will not bless us but we should also know that the devil is after us too look at Job. Philippians 4:13 tells us however, that all things are possible with God and thus we can overcome anything and do the right thing. It will take time but God is there for us.

That's what Paul wanted to know (He wrote a large amount of the New Testament in the Bible). I'm really sorry I can't find the reference for the verse where Paul is trying to figure out why he keeps sinning when he wants to do right. If someone else reads this and knows the reference, please help me out here.
But anyway, read about the life and teachings of Jesus in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, in the Bible. He is the authority on truth. This would be the place to start on your quest for truth.
My definition of truth is GOD and REALITY. Anything that strays from God and reality is falsehood.

Great question!! I don't know for sure but this is a little but of the little bit I do know.
You know even Paul (one of the great writers of the Bible) said that "For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do – this I keep on doing."
He struggled the same way. And I don't mean to be one of those users that quote the Bible nonstop but later he said "No temptation has taken you but what is common to man, but God is faithfull, you will not be tempted more than you can bare, but God will provide a way of escape" 1Cor.10
Human nature = do the wrong thing
God challenges us to make the right choices. We aren't puppets, he won't choose for us.

From the time of Adam the nature of man has been to do evil and not good. We have never been able to change this about ourselves. We have had wars, killing each other with ever improving methods. This can also be seen in our own children. Never once have I heard a parent teaching a child to lie but they still do it. We are sinners by our nature. naturally an enemy of God. Jesus came into the world to heal the gulf of sin that has separated us from God and His goodness. To receive this gift he asks us to trust Him, have you done that?

The Sin Nature within you was inherited at birth. We are, therefore, naturally prone to do wrong - sin. Only through accepting Jesus can "justification" take place. Justification clears your sin and puts you in a right standing with God.

It's not. It just takes practice. Just think of the consequences of one action, and the consequences of the other action. Which will help people? That's the 'right thing'. Which will hurt people? That's the 'wrong thing'. Just think about the results of your actions.
The Bible is hundreds of pages long and won't offer you any more enlightenmnet than that.

This is the bible reference that another poster was asking for: you're in good company; listen to what Paul wrote in the book of Romans, beginning with chapter 7, verse 21:
"So I find this law at work; when I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being, I delight in God's law, but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? Thanks be to God....through Jesus Christ, our Lord!"
There is your answer...through Jesus, we can resist sin, as God never allows a temptation to come to us...that He does not provide a way out.

Because when making decisions, oftentimes, doing the right thing means not getting what we want or being selfless, instead of selfish. It requires a good bit of self control and respect, for self and others.

because we found in God's word, the Holy Bible, after Adam Chose to disobey God by eating a fruit in the tree of Good and Wrong,God wanted man to pay for what they did, so he droves them out of the garden and cursed them. We are born with sins in our blood. it is very hard for men to adapt a righteous living that is why we need God's help and strength for we are wicked, being born with sins nature.
