Unfortunately, nothing really good for you! It is the noxious effluvium of gases being given off by the many plastics, fabrics, paints, electronics, etc. inside your vehicle! Many of your electrical connections are covered in some sort of protection that is burning off, artificial carpet fibres are out-gassing who knows what (and they aren't telling!!), and so many of us are getting high on it that we thing it is *just great*. Sorry, I'm not one of you. My husband bought his newest truck in February and I couldn't ride in it for 3 months without having all the windows completely wide open, otherwise I got an instant migraine! I bought my new car on Memorial Day and drove it with the windows down for 3 months as well. Thankfully it was a hot, dry summer. Check out the site below for at least one place where they 'fess up a bit about this. Carpets are a big problem, both in cars & in houses.
