Here is some good stuff!
Have you been feeling like there is a void in your heart? Have you ever asked the question, “Why did God create me?” or “Why do I exist?”
God created every man with a God-shaped void in his heart. All of us have tried to fill this void in many different ways: with money, prestige, possessions, power and even with people. However, none of these things will ever really satisfy us. The only thing that can totally fill this void is a relationship with God.
The Bible says:
“Yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live…” 1 Corinthians 8:6
We were created for Him. God created each and every one of us to have fellowship with Him. To have fellowship means to have a personal relationship. This relationship is only possible through Christ.
When God first created man, they enjoyed fellowship. But God did not create man as a robot to love and obey Him mechanically, but rather gave man a freedom to choose. Unfortunately, man chose to disobey God, which he continues to do to this day. When man sinned, this relationship with God was broken and as a result, he was separated from God.
The Bible says:
“But your iniquities have separated you from your God” Isaiah 59:2
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23
It was not God who fell away from man, but man that abandoned God. When man sinned, he turned his back on God, and in a sense said, “I no longer want to follow Your will, I would rather follow my own.” Many have tried throughout history in different ways to reach God through their own efforts, but every attempt has failed.
The Bible explains:
“There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.” Proverbs 14:12
But the Lord desired to have fellowship with man again, so He presented a solution…
God sent His only begotten Son to the world, who lived a sinless life and fulfilled the perfect standard set by God. When Jesus died on the cross, He paid the penalty for all our sins, that way all that believe in Him and accept what He did on our behalf, can be forgiven of their sins and receive eternal life.
The Bible says:
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
“For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God.” 1 Peter 3:18
The Bible tells us that Jesus is no ordinary person. He is more than just a good teacher or another religious leader, He is God, creator of the universe, who has come into the world as a man (John 1:1). By being fully God and man, Jesus is able to fulfill the ministry of bridging the gap between the two, dying for our sins as a man, and now acting as a mediator to bring God and man together.
“For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all men- the testimony given in its proper time.” 1 Timothy 2:5, 6
If you would like to accept Jesus Christ into your life, and receive the forgiveness of God to have that void filled, follow these simple steps with a sincere heart:
1. Confess: This means to recognize that you are a sinner, that you’re separated from God, and that you need Him in your life.
2. Repent: Repentance is agreeing with God about what He calls sin in your life, and turning away from it. It means to leave behind the old life and to begin anew, making choices that you know will please the Lord.
3. Believe: This is trusting that Jesus Christ died, was buried, and on the third day He rose from the dead. In doing so He brings all who trust in Him eternal life.
4. Receive: Through prayer, ask Jesus to come into your life and send His Holy Spirit into your heart to teach and guide you. This is what it means to “receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior”.
5. Profess: Jesus said that if we acknowledge Him before men, He will acknowledge us before His Father in heaven (Matthew 10:32). In other words, if we are really serious about our commitment to Him, we will tell somebody about it. A pastor, a friend or a family member. Just think about how much Jesus has done for you already, this should be a real easy step.
If you would like to receive Jesus into your heart, and have all of your sins forgiven, say this simple prayer with a sincere heart:
Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and that I need your forgiveness. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins, and that you were raised on the third day bringing eternal life. Forgive me of my sins and fill this void in my heart with your love. I want You to be the Savior and Lord of my life. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
More:
Are you hungry? Not physically hungry, but do you have a hunger for something more in life? Is there something deep inside you that never seems to be satisfied? If so, Jesus is the way! Jesus said, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty" (John 6:35).
Are you confused? Can you never seem to find a path or purpose in life? Does it seem like someone has turned out the lights and you cannot find the switch? If so, Jesus is the way! Jesus proclaimed, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life" (John 8:12).
Do you ever feel like you are locked out of life? Have you tried so many doors, only to find that what is behind them is empty and meaningless? Are you looking for an entrance into a fulfilling life? If so, Jesus is the way! Jesus declared, "I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture" (John 10:9).
Do other people always let you down? Have your relationships been shallow and empty? Does it seem like everyone is trying to take advantage of you? If so, Jesus is the way! Jesus said, "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep...I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me" (John 10:11, 14).
Do you wonder what happens after this life? Are you tired of living your life for things that only rot or rust? Do you sometimes doubt whether life has any meaning? Do you want to live after you die? If so, Jesus is the way! Jesus declared, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die" (John 11:25-26).
What is the way? What is the truth? What is the life? Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6).
The hunger that you feel is a spiritual hunger, and can only be filled by Jesus. Jesus is the only one who can lift the darkness. Jesus is the gate to a satisfying life. Jesus is the friend and shepherd that you have been looking for. Jesus is the life - in this world and the next. Jesus is the way of salvation!
The reason you feel hungry, the reason you seem to be lost in darkness, the reason you can't find meaning in life, is that you are separated from God. The Bible tells us that we have all sinned, and are therefore separated from God (Ecclesiastes 7:20; Romans 3:23). The void you feel in your heart is God missing from your life. We were created to have a relationship with God. Because of our sin, we are separated from that relationship. Even worse, our sin will cause us to be separated from God for all of eternity, this life and the next (Romans 6:23; John 3:36).
How can this problem be solved? Jesus is the way! Jesus took our sin upon Himself (2 Corinthians 5:21). Jesus died in our place (Romans 5:8), taking the punishment that we deserve. Three days later, Jesus rose from the dead, proving His victory over sin and death (Romans 6:4-5). Why did He do it? Jesus answered that question Himself, "Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends" (John 15:13). Jesus died so that we could live. If we place our faith in Jesus, trusting His death as the payment for our sins - all of our sins are forgiven and washed away. We will then have our spiritual hunger satisfied. The lights will be turned on. We will have access to a fulfilling life. We will know our true best friend and good shepherd. We will know that we will have life after we die - a resurrected life in heaven for eternity with Jesus!
"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16).

Some of this people have given u some great answers, so I won't repeat them. Salvation is the greatest decision u can make in your life. Make sure u find a good church that preaches the Word of God and get to know God/Jesus for yourself. He is waiting and wanting to fellowship/ talk with you through the Word of God and prayer. I have been saved/ born again for almost 20 years and I would not change it for the world. God doesn't make promises of a life without failure, mistakes, and other bad things that can happen, but I guarantee ( from experience) everything works good and the good always out weigh the bad. God Bless. Romans 10:9-10. If you have any more questions I can be reached at tsumter7@yahoo.com

You need to read the Bible for yourself. Someone who believes they know the exact way to become saved has been taking the Gospel of John at face value, as the written Word of God. You should read the first three Gospels, then read John, and see if you think it's authentic. I seriously doubt the validity of the Gospel of John, which means I doubt the validity of many of the "rules" of mainstream Christianity, including the typically accepted Protestent doctrine of salvation solely by faith in the divinity of Jesus.
But you must decide for yourself. You need to read the Gospels straight through and absorb their wholistic messages. Randomly relying on individual verses is dangerous and often misleading.
Good luck.

You don't have to do anything to BE SAVED. There is no hell or devil, why are people soo lazy and believe everything that they tell them. Research and come up with your own conclusions, your eyes will be opened to soo many lies. Why would God punish you because you did something wrong if he put you here to experience things. And when it comes to the bible, well, it was written by humans so I don't consider it important. Plus if you really look at it, it is just a book of MORALS

Salvation is a gift from God. He loves us so much that He sent His only son into the world to take our sins on Himself so that we might be saved. The bible says in Romans 10:9 "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." That is the first step. The next is to give yourself wholly to God and let him lead and direct you. God also gave us the Holy Spirit to guide us in our Christian walk to help us to walk holy before God. I hope this helps a little. God bless you.

To become saved (from a lifetime of delusion and willful ignorance):
1. Chuck your bible in the trash.
2. Get thee to a library.

All of us are sinners, we all displease God.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
There is a punishment for that sin. Death. Not just physical death, but an eternal one which is purely being separated from God forever in Hell.
Romans 5:12 Therefore, just as sin entered the world world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all have sinned
But there is a way out of that punishment.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
God loves us and doesn't want us to spent eternity in Hell. Hell was only intended for Satan and the angels that followed him in his rebellion.
Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.
We can do nothing to earn our salvation, it is a gift that is offered to us and simply has to be received.
Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast.
Romans 10:9-10 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
There's no certain ritual that you have to follow, no magic words, no specific prayer, it's simply having faith in Jesus. Believing that He is who He claimed to be...the Son of God, sent here to take away the sins of the world.
As a Christian, you should repent, or turn away, from sins. You'll still sin, but you should ask God to forgive you of them and try not to commit them again.
I John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
Baptism is not required for salvation, but being baptised is a way of demonstrating what has taken place inside your life. You've died to your sinful ways, been buried with Christ and raised to a new life of obedience to Him.
Though your salvation is not dependent on this, it is something that the Lord wants us to do as a testimony to others and so it should be done out of obedience to Him.
