I have 5 of each, plus ringbearer and flower girl. It has to be a few minutes long, but I don't want it to drag long after they are down the aisle. Any ideas?

Depends on what style of music you want! my fiance and I hired a guitarist to play for our ceremony...no singing, just the guitar. Our parents and the wedding party are walking out to Here Comes the Sun by the Beatles. I am walking down to Up and Away by Dave Matthews...My advice is to pick what music you like! We NEVER listen to classical, so it didn't make sense to us to play it at our wedding...

It would not be a large deal for the marriage party music to be 2.5 minutes. they are going to easily bypass in and get up on the adjust and wait. there is frequently a pause between then coming in and the bride besides. regardless of the indisputable fact that, in case you and your groom walk in at a million minute into the music, it's going to take about possibly 30 seconds to get down the aisle?? so that you're going to be status there for approximately 60 seconds waiting on the music to end. would not look like a lengthy time period, regardless of the indisputable fact that it's going to be a very awkward pause. i ought to judge in ordinary words playing part of the music. commence on the first chorus and proceed, or commence on the starting up and play by potential of the first chorus or regardless of, then fade it out once you're up there on the adjust.

I always thought they walked down the aisle during the beginning of the wedding march.

I love Canon in D as well. Classic, beautiful piece of music!

You can use "Clare de Lune" by Debussy. It is as pretty(if not more so) as Cannon in D but not nearly as long. You can find on line also at winmx or limewire.
